Becky Lynch may be playing a fully-fledged heel on WWE television, but a moment at a recent untelevised live event in Nottingham, England, saw the mask slip. During the show, “The Man” spotted a fan holding a poignant sign depicting Lynch alongside her late father.
A Touching Tribute
Lynch’s father passed away in March 2021, just months before her return to the ring at SummerSlam and before he had the chance to meet his granddaughter, Roux. The image clearly moved the Women’s Intercontinental Champion, who paused her character work to acknowledge the tribute.
“I love that, that’s amazing,” Lynch told the fan.
Despite the emotional moment, Lynch remained professional in the ring. She went on to retain her Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Maxxine Dupri in the penultimate match of the night, continuing her dominant run on the European tour.
