As the “Road to WrestleMania 42” begins to take shape, WWE officials appear to have zeroed in on the superstar they want leading the women’s division into Allegiant Stadium. According to a new report from the Self Made Pro podcast, former Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan is the frontrunner for a massive push this spring.
Targeting Stephanie Vaquer
The report suggests that high-level meetings have taken place recently to hammer out marquee plans, with Morgan’s name consistently at the top of the list.
“There are people who think Liv Morgan should win the Royal Rumble and go straight into facing Stephanie Vaquer, and that’s absolutely in play… Several people we’ve talked to would like to see Morgan positioned towards the top of the Women’s Card come April.”
A Long-Term Build
This intel aligns with recent reporting from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, who noted that a showdown between Morgan and current champion Stephanie Vaquer has been discussed for some time. While WWE sees tremendous value in Vaquer facing veterans like Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley, the company is reportedly treating the Morgan match as a key destination to build toward “down the road.”
