WrestleMania 43 is set to make history as the first-ever edition of the “Show of Shows” to take place outside of North America, emanating from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In a recent interview with Raffi Boghosian, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson shared his thoughts on the milestone event, expressing excitement for both the brand and the host country.
Conversations Are “All Good”
When asked about the rumors linking him to a potential match on the card—speculated to be the final bout of his legendary career—The Rock remained coy but optimistic. He confirmed that he is in regular contact with WWE management regarding his involvement.
“I can’t wait. In terms of the conversations I’ve been having, it’s all good. It will always be good.”
Reports suggest that while WWE is eager to book The Rock for the historic show, there is hesitation from his camp due to the potential conflict with his Hollywood schedule and the reality that this would likely be his retirement match. Nevertheless, Johnson emphasized the significance of the event for the roster.
“I’m also excited not only for the brand, but I’m excited for our athletes to be able to participate in an event like that, and that is a global event.”
