WWE has significantly reduced its touring schedule, cutting down from over 100 live events a year to fewer than 40 in 2025. While this move protects talent health, Bayley argues that something valuable has been lost. Speaking to the Toronto Sun, the veteran explained that those untelevised “reps” were crucial for her development.
Longevity vs. Experience
Bayley recalled the grueling schedule of her early main roster run, noting that she and Charlotte Flair worked constantly to sell tickets. While she admitted it was “brutal,” she now feels those reps are what sustain her longevity today.
“I feel it helps with longevity and keep up and stay relevant is because we had that experience… People like Roxanne Perez, Lyra Valkyria, and Maxxine Dupri… They just need those reps on live events that really transfer and make you feel more confident on TV.”
She expressed hope that WWE could find a “happy and healthy balance” to give younger stars the experience they need without burning them out.
