Tommaso Ciampa recently confirmed that his time with WWE is coming to an end, announcing that his contract will expire “in the very near future” and he will not be renewing it. Following this revelation, Fightful is reporting that the former NXT Champion has not been present backstage at recent events and is not scheduled for any upcoming shows, effectively signaling the conclusion of his current run.
While Ciampa looks toward opportunities with New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) and the independent circuit, his longtime tag team partner remains firmly entrenched in the blue brand. Johnny Gargano is still active on SmackDown and competed in a singles match against Nathan Frazer this past week. The two men, known collectively as #DIY, captured the Tag Team Titles twice during their tenure, but it appears the team has quietly disbanded as Ciampa prepares for life outside the company.
