WWE
The second season of WWE Unreal has provided a fascinating look behind the curtain, but one specific comment from Becky Lynch has caused a stir. During the show, “The Man” stated that her current agreement with WWE would likely be her last, calling it “the final run” and “the final contract.” While fans are rightfully concerned that one of the industry’s biggest stars is eyeing retirement, her on-screen partner and protégé, Lyra Valkyria, isn’t buying a word of it.
Lyra Valkyria Disputes Becky Lynch’s Retirement Plans
Speaking to Adrian Hernandez of Unlikely, Valkyria dismissed Lynch’s comments as a fabrication. “I’m just going to choose not to believe it. I just don’t think it will be,” Valkyria said. She pointed out that Lynch is performing at an elite level and things are going “too well” for her to walk away now. In a moment of candid humor, Valkyria joked, “Maybe she’s just saying that because she thinks she’s going to go off and be the President or something. No, it’s not her final contract. She’s lying.”
Becky Lynch Praises Lyra Valkyria As Future Of WWE
The bond between the two Irish stars was further highlighted in Unreal, where Lynch heaped praise on Valkyria, calling her “my biggest hope for the future.” Lynch expressed her desire for other wrestlers to emulate Valkyria’s work ethic and kindness. “She wants to work hard, and you need people like that,” Lynch noted. When told about the high praise, Valkyria was visibly moved, responding, “Amazing, I love that. It means the world, especially coming from someone like her.” Whether Lynch actually retires remains to be seen, but it is clear she has chosen her successor.
