Tommaso Ciampa made shockwaves across the wrestling world when he debuted on AEW Dynamite on January 28. Repackaged as the “Psycho Killer”—a moniker he made famous on the independent scene—Ciampa arrived with a complete presentation that felt both fresh and familiar. Key to this debut was his new entrance theme, a track that perfectly captures his intense persona. In a new video released by the company, Ciampa revealed the frantic timeline behind the music’s creation.
Mikey Rukus and Ciampa Created The Track In Two Days
According to the former WWE Tag Team Champion, the entire entrance presentation, from the video wall to the audio, was finalized in a remarkably short window. “For this all to just fall together in forty-eight hours, like talking with Mike Mansury about ‘Here’s my vision for a tron,’ and then seeing it come to fruition,” Ciampa explained. He reserved special praise for AEW’s resident composer, Mikey Rukus, who turned Ciampa’s concepts into reality with lightning speed.
“And then talking to Mikey Rukus like ‘This is the music I’ve always wanted, here are the elements.’ Forty-eight hours with him, it was a blast,” Ciampa said. He noted that the experience was unlike anything he had encountered previously in his career, highlighting the collaborative nature of his new home. “I’ve never been able to collaborate with somebody who’s a music artist in that way, where your opinion matters so much. It was just this back and forth of just jiving.”
The result was a seamless debut that instantly established Ciampa as a major player in AEW. By reclaiming his “Psycho Killer” identity with a custom soundtrack, Ciampa has signaled that he is ready to violently carve out his legacy on Wednesday nights.
