The last time WWE fans saw Seth Rollins, he was being decimated by his former allies. In October 2025, at Crown Jewel, Rollins suffered a legitimate shoulder injury during his main event match against Cody Rhodes. To write him off television for surgery, WWE orchestrated a shocking betrayal where “The Vision”—the stable consisting of Bron Breakker, Paul Heyman, and Bronson Reed—turned on their leader. Nearly three months post-surgery, Rollins provided a status update during an appearance on Complex News alongside his wife, Becky Lynch.
Rollins remained cautious about giving a definitive return date but offered a positive outlook on his rehabilitation. He noted that he has regained enough mobility to perform daily tasks, a significant milestone in recovery from major shoulder surgery.
“It’s coming along. It’s coming along. I had surgery about almost three months now. So, I can do most normal things like wash my hair and scratch my armpit and all those things so it’s good. You still got time. I don’t know exactly when we’re gonna come back but, I’m making progress in the right direction.”
The timing of Rollins’ update has fueled speculation regarding a potential surprise return at the Royal Rumble on January 31. With the event just over two weeks away, a return “almost three months” post-surgery would be an aggressive recovery timeline, but not impossible for a competitor of Rollins’ caliber. If he is unable to make the Rumble, fans will be watching closely to see if he can return in time to seek revenge on Paul Heyman and Bron Breakker before WrestleMania 42. Meanwhile, Breakker has moved on from the betrayal, recently challenging CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Title, proving that “The Vision” remains a threat even without its founding father.
