Former WWE Star Signs One-Year Deal With TNA Following Surprise Return

Elayna Black, formerly known to WWE fans as Cora Jade, has officially found a new home. After her release from WWE on May 2, 2025, as part of roster restructuring, Black took a brief hiatus from the industry to prioritize her mental health. That break ended emphatically this week when she returned to the ring during TNA’s debut on AMC. Following her appearance, reports have confirmed that this was not a one-off cameo.

A Full-Time Commitment

According to Fightful, Black has put pen to paper on a significant deal that will keep her in TNA for the foreseeable future.

“Elayna is scheduled to be a full-on member of the TNA roster after stepping away from wrestling six months prior. She’s signed to a one-year contract that goes through the 2026 year.”

No Talks With Other Promotions

Interestingly, the report suggests that Black’s transition to TNA was direct. Despite her high profile as a former NXT standout, there were allegedly no conversations between her and other major promotions prior to this signing. By securing her services exclusively, TNA has added a young, motivated talent to their Knockouts division, allowing Black to reclaim her pre-WWE identity and prove that her career is far from over.
