Legendary commentator Jim Ross will be absent from this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite following a frightening incident at his home. The voice of wrestling took to social media on Monday to inform fans that he will not be making the trip to Orlando after suffering a fall that left him incapacitated for several hours.
Ross revealed the harrowing details of the accident, noting that he was unable to get up for an extended period.
“Great #CFBPlayoff game tonight! Congrats to @IUHoosiers for an amazing win vs @CanesFootball. My trip to Orlando for @AEW Dynamite is postponed due to an untimely fall that saw me lying on my living room floor for 5 hours. I’ll be watching!”
Despite the scary situation, “Good Ole JR” maintained his resilience, managing to watch the college football playoffs even while stuck on the floor. This is the latest health hurdle for the Hall of Famer, who has battled cancer and other falls in recent years. Just last year, he suffered a “bad fall” days before All In, though he still managed to call the main event. Ross had recently returned to the booth earlier this month to call Dynamite in his home state of Oklahoma, but he will be forced to watch from the sidelines this Wednesday.
