Naomi is currently off WWE television as she and Jimmy Uso expect a baby boy, having relinquished the Women’s World Title now held by Stephanie Vaquer. However, “The Glow” remains a hot topic of conversation thanks to the newly released second season of WWE Unreal on Netflix.
In the second episode of the docuseries, Naomi opened up about the infamous 2022 incident where she and Sasha Banks walked out of the company while holding the Women’s Tag Team Championships.
“I’m not going to go too much into detail. But in 2022… A lot happened that day at work that led us to leave—literally walk out. I needed to stand up for myself, not as Naomi, but as Trinity. And that was the first time in my life and my career that I wasn’t employed and didn’t know what to do next.”
Before her hiatus, Naomi was enjoying arguably the best run of her career as a heel. On Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray heaped praise on her recent work, calling her the most believable “baddest b****” in the division.
“She’s so believable to me when she spoke last night about I’m gonna give you heffas nine months… but when I come back, even if I’m holding my baby in breastfeeding… I was like holy s*** she’s serious. This is the best version of Naomi we’ve ever gotten.”
Ray noted that while one door is closing temporarily for motherhood, the door remains wide open for a massive return once she is ready to reclaim her spot.
