Former World Champion Spotted Backstage At AEW Dynamite

A familiar face was present backstage at this week’s AEW Dynamite in Orlando, Florida, sparking hope among fans for a potential return. According to Fightful Select, former AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida was in attendance at the show. This marks a significant sighting, as Shida has been notably absent from All Elite Wrestling television throughout the entirety of 2025.

Just Visiting?

While her presence has generated buzz, reports indicate that she was primarily there to visit friends and colleagues, taking advantage of the promotion being in her local area of Orlando. Sean Ross Sapp noted that her absence from the Worlds End 2024 pay-per-view had previously “turned heads,” especially given her residency in the city, but this recent visit suggests she remains in good standing with the locker room.

“Her presence backstage has led to speculation about a potential return, but for now, it appears to have been a visit while the promotion was in her local area.”
