Following this week’s episode of WWE Raw in Toronto, the card for the 2026 Royal Rumble has been significantly updated. The event, which takes place this Saturday, January 31st, from the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is shaping up to be a historic night. Monday’s show saw a flurry of declarations for the over-the-top-rope matches, including the entire Vision faction, rookie sensation Je’Von Evans, powerhouse Oba Femi, and former champion Becky Lynch.
While the Rumble matches themselves are the main draw, the undercard features two bouts with monumental consequences. Drew McIntyre will defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Sami Zayn, who is riding a wave of momentum after winning a tournament to become the number one contender. Perhaps even more compelling is the “Career Threatening Match” between Gunther and AJ Styles. The stipulation is clear: if AJ Styles loses, he must retire from professional wrestling forever.
