The release of WWE Unreal Season Two on Netflix has reignited conversations about the trajectory of several superstars, but none more so than Chelsea Green. The docuseries, which dropped on January 20, 2026, featured a dedicated episode chronicling Green’s journey to becoming the inaugural Women’s United States Champion in December 2024. While the show offered a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at her character development, it also sparked a bold claim from a wrestling veteran regarding her standing in the company.
In a new episode of his YouTube podcast, Stevie Richards was asked to rank the top five women in WWE today. Surprisingly, Richards bypassed established main eventers to place Green at the very top of his list. “Number one would be Chelsea Green. Number one would be Chelsea Green,” Richards stated emphatically. He argued that despite her comedic presentation, she possesses a level of all-around talent that is currently unmatched, adding, “And you’re talking about somebody that hasn’t really tapped into her potential yet.”
Richards’ high praise comes amidst a volatile period for Green. She recently became a two-time Women’s United States Champion on November 7, 2025, after defeating Giulia, only to lose the title back to her rival on the January 2, 2026, edition of SmackDown. In Unreal, Green expressed frustration with the brevity of her first reign, noting she “wanted to do more” with the belt. With Richards labeling her as the “potential draw” to watch, all eyes will be on Green as she enters the Women’s Royal Rumble in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on January 31, looking to prove that she belongs in the main event conversation.
