Fans Identify WWE Hall of Famer On Flight To Riyadh Ahead Of Royal Rumble

The Royal Rumble rumor mill has officially gone into overdrive, and this time, the evidence comes from an accidental social media cameo. Just hours after WWE Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque promised fans that the upcoming event would be “stacked” with surprises, eagle-eyed internet sleuths believe they have already identified one of them. Nikki Bella appears to be en route to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for the historic event this Saturday.

The discovery was made on Wednesday when WWE broadcaster Jackie Redmond posted an update to her Instagram Story. Redmond, who was documenting her travel to the Kingdom for the premium live event, inadvertently captured a familiar face in the background of her video. Fans quickly took screenshots and zoomed in, identifying the woman as none other than the Hall of Famer and former Divas Champion, Nikki Bella.

Nikki Bella Adds Star Power To Women’s Royal Rumble Match

If Bella is indeed competing, her return would be a significant addition to the 30-woman over-the-top-rope match. The “Fearless” superstar has been a part of major Royal Rumble moments in the past, including the inaugural women’s match in 2018 and a return in 2022. While she has largely stepped away from full-time competition to focus on her family and other business ventures, the Bellas have never shyed away from a big stage. A surprise appearance in the first-ever Royal Rumble held in Saudi Arabia fits perfectly with her legacy as a trailblazer for the division.

This spotting creates an ironic twist to the recent reports regarding WWE’s travel secrecy. While Triple H and company sources reportedly felt that chartering private planes would make it easier to hide potential surprises from “autograph hounds” at airports, the age of social media means that leaks can come from within the company itself. Redmond’s post likely wasn’t intended to spoil a return, but it has certainly generated the exact kind of buzz WWE looks for during Rumble week.

With Triple H teasing “a lot of surprises” on ESPN earlier today, Bella’s potential involvement could be just the tip of the iceberg. Whether she is there for a one-off appearance, a managerial role, or a full run to WrestleMania 42 remains to be seen, but fans will definitely be watching closely this Saturday to see if the “Total Bellas” star makes her entrance at the King Abdullah Financial District.
