Roman Reigns returns to the ring today at the Royal Rumble, competing for the first time since Survivor Series. After a historic 1,316-day reign as champion, some questioned if “The Tribal Chief” had lost a step or if he was winding down his career. Reigns silenced those doubts in a new interview with Pat McAfee, declaring that he is physically and mentally sharper than ever.
“It’s been a tough couple of years, but when you come off a hell of a run, you have to pump the brakes,” Reigns admitted. However, he emphasized that the break was strategic, not a sign of decline. “I’m only 40 years old. With all the tech and information we have now, I feel 25. I’m still good to go.”
When asked if he has another legendary run in him, Reigns was unequivocal. “Always capable… This is my livelihood. This is how I feed my children. Why not stay in shape and stay mentally sharp… If I’m able to do it at the highest level, inspire my family members to follow me lead, can’t nobody stop us.”
