Iyo Sky has solidified her place as one of the top stars in WWE, but her success didn’t happen by accident. In a new interview with Denise Salcedo, the current Women’s Tag Team Champion credited her relentless work ethic and diverse training background for her rise to the top. Sky revealed that even on her days off, she is in the gym practicing disciplines that fans rarely see on television.
“I [am] always ready to wrestle. If I have day off, I go to gym. I do kickboxing, jujutsu… I [am] always practicing so many things like martial arts,” Sky explained. She noted that while she doesn’t use these specific moves during her matches, the conditioning benefits are undeniable. “That’s why I [became] the champion.” This dedication to fitness helps explain her incredible stamina and ability to perform high-risk maneuvers with precision.
