The Women’s Royal Rumble match in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, was filled with surprises, but perhaps none were as significant for the tag team division as the return of Brie Bella. Entering the match at number 29, Brie reunited with her sister Nikki Bella, who had entered earlier at number 25. While both sisters were eventually eliminated by the dominant Lash Legend, it appears that this reunion was not just for one night only. According to a new report from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Brie Bella is back in WWE for the foreseeable future.
Writing in Sunday’s Daily Update, Meltzer clarified the status of the Hall of Famer. “Brie Bella’s return last night was not a one-night thing,” he wrote. “She’s going to be back for at least the time being.” This marks a significant shift for the duo, as Nikki Bella had recently been operating as a solo heel competitor, feuding with Liv Morgan and turning on Stephanie Vaquer. Brie’s return seems to have smoothed over those edges, bringing the “Bella Army” back together in full force.
Brie herself took to social media to confirm the news, expressing overwhelming gratitude for the reception she received from the fans in Riyadh. “I can’t even express the gratitude I’m feeling right now,” she wrote on Instagram. “It’s been a journey to get here but I’m back and it feels good!!! Love you Bella Army for always standing with your girl and thank you Riyadh for the very warm welcome… BRIEMODE IS ACTIVATED. And the Bella Twins are back!!!! YES! YES! YES!”
This was Brie’s first professional wrestling match since the 2022 Royal Rumble. With Nikki’s recent heel turn still fresh in the minds of viewers—her last appearance was a loss to Vaquer and Raquel Rodriguez on Raw in December—it will be interesting to see how the sisters reintegrate into the main roster landscape. For now, however, it is official: The Bella Twins are back in business.
