WWE Star Discussed For Royal Rumble Spot But Ultimately Left Off Card

The Royal Rumble is famous for its surprise entrants, and this year’s edition in Saudi Arabia was no different, featuring cameos from AAA stars La Parka and Mr. Iguana, as well as the return of Chad Gable as the “Original El Grande Americano.” However, not every name pitched for the match made it through the curtain. According to Fightful Select, a current main roster star was considered for a spot but was ultimately passed on.

Kit Wilson Pitched For Rumble Spot

The report indicates that Kit Wilson’s name was discussed for a place in the 30-man match. Wilson, one half of Pretty Deadly, has been establishing himself as a singles competitor recently due to his partner Elton Prince undergoing neck fusion surgery last May. Wilson has debuted a new theme song that has found success on streaming charts and has been wrestling on SmackDown against opponents like Carmelo Hayes and Matt Cardona.

Despite his recent visibility and character development, WWE opted not to include him in the final lineup for the Rumble. While fans didn’t get to see Wilson’s “Yes Boy” energy in Riyadh, his singles push appears to be continuing on Friday nights as he waits for his partner’s eventual return.
