Je’Von Evans has officially arrived on the main roster, and the high-flying sensation is not lacking in confidence. After signing with the WWE Raw brand on January 5, the former NXT standout is already looking to etch his name in the history books. With management figures like Triple H and Shawn Michaels reportedly high on his potential, Evans has publicly stated his intention to chase down one of the most prestigious records in company history.
Speaking on Raw Recap, Evans revealed that his primary long-term goal is to surpass Randy Orton as the youngest World Champion of all time. “There’s a lot of goals that I want to accomplish, one of those goals is to beat Randy Orton’s record and be the youngest world champion. I feel like that’s something I’m grinding for,” Evans stated.
Orton famously won his first World Heavyweight Championship at the age of 24 in 2004. Evans, who is currently 21, is acutely aware of the timeline he is working against. “He won it at 24, I turn 22 in April. I’ve got more than two years, so let’s grind for that goal.” With his incredible athleticism and youth on his side, the “Young OG” has a genuine shot at toppling a record that has stood for over two decades.
