Recent WWE events have seen a surprising trend: loud “We Want Vince” chants directed at Paul “Triple H” Levesque during post-show segments. The chants were particularly audible after the 2026 Royal Rumble, alongside calls for “Y2J” and “AEW.” However, a new report from Fightful suggests that the company is largely unbothered by the fan rebellion.
The report states there is “little serious backstage concern” regarding the chants, as Vince McMahon is not expected to return to the company in any capacity following the Janel Grant lawsuit. The prevailing view backstage is that these chants are simply a consequence of Triple H appearing live without holding formal press conferences, forcing him to deal with the raw crowd response. Sources confirmed that McMahon has not been backstage and was not involved in creative decisions, such as John Cena’s farewell match, reinforcing that his influence remains non-existent.
