Fresh speculation regarding a potential WWE return for Saraya (formerly known as Paige) has ignited following the release of new training footage. The video, which surfaced on social media, shows the former Divas Champion performing a “neck nip-up” for the first time in nearly a decade. This specific move is significant given her history of neck injuries, which forced her initial retirement in 2018. The footage aligns with her recent comments stating that she feels like her “old self” again inside the ring following her run in AEW.
The conversation around her return intensified after a fan shared a tribute video to the “4 Horse Divas,” featuring The Bella Twins, AJ Lee, and Saraya. Nikki and Brie Bella reacted enthusiastically to the clip, posting, “Omgosh this… we need our @Saraya back!!” Saraya responded with mutual affection, replying, “Love youuuu so much.” The interaction has fueled hope among fans that the quartet could be reunited on television, especially with Brie Bella confirming she is back full-time and AJ Lee currently active on the roster.
While rumors swirled that Saraya might appear as a surprise entrant in the 2026 Royal Rumble, she did not feature at the event in Riyadh. However, the ongoing Road to WrestleMania keeps the possibility of a return alive. With her former peers deeply involved in top storylines—including AJ Lee’s upcoming Women’s Intercontinental Championship match against Becky Lynch at Elimination Chamber on February 28—the door appears wide open for Saraya to step back into the company where she first made her name.
Saraya is currently a free agent following the expiration of her AEW contract in September 2025. Since departing Tony Khan’s promotion, she has kept a relatively low profile in the wrestling world, focusing on outside projects including her autobiography, Hell in Boots, which was released last year. Her current free agent status, combined with her public training updates and the vocal support of Hall of Famers like The Bella Twins, suggests that negotiations for a WWE comeback could be more than just fan wishful thinking.
