0-7 No More: Finn Balor Finally Wins A Match After 5 Months

Finn Balor is finally back in the win column. The WWE Superstar scored his first victory in more than five months on Saturday, defeating Je’Von Evans during a Road to WrestleMania live event in Lubbock, Texas. The win at the United Supermarkets Arena officially ended a 166-day winless drought for the former Universal Champion.

Ending The Slump

Prior to this weekend, Balor’s last victory occurred on September 1, 2025, when he defeated Dragon Lee on Monday Night Raw. Since then, he had gone 0-7 in televised bouts. His match against Evans was widely praised by fans in attendance as an “absolute banger.” After securing the pinfall, Balor showed respect to the young NXT standout by helping him to his feet and presenting him to the crowd, perhaps signaling a shift in momentum as he heads toward Elimination Chamber.
