WWE SmackDown Results (2/20/26): Trick Williams Earns Elimination Chamber Spot

This week’s episode of WWE SmackDown featured intense action as the blue brand finalized its participants for the upcoming Elimination Chamber premium live event. The broadcast opened with a look at the current landscape, showing Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY walking backstage, followed by glimpses of Giulia, Kiana James, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Lash Legend, and Nia Jax. The focus quickly shifted to Cody Rhodes, who recently secured his own spot inside the steel structure.

Rhodes made his way to the ring to a massive ovation from the WWE fans. Before he could address the audience, he was interrupted by Jacob Fatu. Fatu expressed his lingering frustrations regarding his loss to Rhodes and Sami Zayn last week, claiming he was on the verge of victory. He made it clear that his immediate concern wasn’t Rhodes, but rather getting his hands on WWE Champion Drew McIntyre.

SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis intervened, explaining that he gave McIntyre the night off to avoid any unnecessary risks ahead of the Chamber match. Aldis attempted to defuse the situation, but McIntyre’s voice suddenly echoed through the arena. The champion was spotted sitting high up among the fans, dressed in a full suit. He taunted Fatu, claiming everyone is jealous of his championship status, which led to Fatu attacking security personnel in frustration.

The in-ring action kicked off with an Elimination Chamber qualifying match between United States Champion Ilja Dragunov and Tama Tonga. The two competitors traded heavy blows early on. After a commercial break, Dragunov gained momentum with a German suplex and a top-rope senton. However, interference from JC Mateo allowed Tonga to capitalize and hit the Cut Throat clothesline for the pinfall victory.

Following the match, Solo Sikoa attempted to address the crowd, but Dragunov attacked him from behind. This sparked a brawl involving Apollo Crews and JC Mateo. The chaos was eventually interrupted by the lights going out, signaling a chilling video package from the Wyatt Sicks faction. Meanwhile, backstage tensions flared as McIntyre and Aldis engaged in a heated argument.

The women’s division took center stage for the next Elimination Chamber qualifier, featuring a high-stakes triple threat match between Charlotte Flair, Kiana James, and Nia Jax. The physical encounter saw all three women hit signature maneuvers. In a chaotic sequence, Flair managed to lock Jax in the Figure Eight submission hold. However, James cleverly rolled under Flair to steal the pinfall and secure her spot in the Chamber.

Later in the evening, Oba Femi dominated Kit Wilson in a quick singles match, finishing him off with the Fall From Grace powerbomb. The broadcast also featured a women’s singles match where Tiffany Stratton defeated Alba Fyre following interference from an injured Chelsea Green. Stratton secured the win with her Prettiest Moonsault Ever finishing move.

The men’s division featured a crucial triple threat Elimination Chamber qualifying match between Trick Williams, Carmelo Hayes, and Damian Priest. The fast-paced bout saw Hayes utilize his aerial offense, while Priest relied on his power. In the closing moments, Priest hit the Razor’s Edge, but Hayes countered with Nothing But Net. Williams ultimately capitalized on the chaos, hitting the Trick Shot to secure the final spot in the men’s Chamber match.

The highly anticipated non-title match between Rhea Ripley and Giulia delivered hard-hitting action. The two powerhouses traded heavy strikes and suplexes throughout the contest. The match was thrown out when Nia Jax and Lash Legend interfered, attacking both competitors. IYO SKY rushed to the ring to make the save for her tag team partner, clearing the ring alongside Ripley.

The main event featured veteran Randy Orton taking on Aleister Black, accompanied by Zelina. The physical contest spilled to the outside of the ring, where Orton hit a draping DDT onto the floor. However, the finish was marred by interference when Drew McIntyre appeared and struck Orton with the championship belt while the referee was distracted. Cody Rhodes attempted to make the save, but McIntyre escaped through the crowd. Black capitalized on the attack, hitting the Black Mass for the victory as the show concluded.
