MJF Discusses Potential Opponents For AEW All In Main Event

All Elite Wrestling is preparing for another huge international stadium show. On August 30, the promotion returns to Wembley Stadium for the annual All In pay-per-view event. As the current AEW World Champion, Maxwell Jacob Friedman naturally has the inside track for the main event slot. The outspoken star recently shared his thoughts on who might step up to challenge him across the pond.

MJF discussed the prestigious main event picture during a recent appearance on the Self Made Sitdown show. He addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding a potential blockbuster rematch. “I keep hearing people talk about Will Ospreay,” he said. The two competitors have a storied history inside the squared circle.

He continued to dissect their previous encounters and questioned the legitimacy of Ospreay’s victories. “And if I’m being completely honest, would I like that rematch? I’ve won one, he’s won one. Do I deserve an opportunity to prove to the world that that one win he had was an absolutely disgusting, gross fluke? I think so,” he stated to the hosts.

The champion then brutally mocked the physical condition of the popular British star. “But then! But then! Is Will Ospreay even going to be up to the task?” MJF asked. He brought up Ospreay’s injury history to further his point. “This man’s got a neck made of silly putty now. Who’s to say that’s somebody I’m even gonna be dealing with by then?”

Friedman went on to list other possible opponents who could step into the spotlight at Wembley Stadium. “Who’s to say it’s not going to be Jon Moxley by then?” he asked. He also acknowledged the momentum of other top stars currently climbing the ranks. “Who’s to say it might not be Darby [Allin]? Andrade [El Idolo] is on a tear right now.”

The pragmatic heel even raised the remote possibility of losing his championship before the summer event arrives. He is scheduled to defend the gold against Hangman Page at the upcoming Revolution pay-per-view on March 15. “Let’s say Hangman beats me,” he said, before quickly correcting himself. “He ain’t gonna.”

He painted a picture of a potential redemption arc if he were to lose the belt in the spring. “But who’s to say it’s not going to be MJF trying to get that strap back? We don’t know. That’s what makes the product so interesting right now. It could be anybody,” he explained.

However, his ultimate conclusion remained entirely self-centered as always. “But what I do know is, there’s only one guy who deserves to be in the main event at Wembley Stadium, and that’s MJF,” he ended. The champion remains highly confident that he is the undisputed face of the franchise.

Before MJF can truly focus on his travel plans for London, he must survive his current challengers. The tension between MJF and Andrade El Idolo recently reached a boiling point following a backstage confrontation at a HOG Wrestling event, leading to a heated exchange on Collision. Furthermore, Hangman Page recently added a brutal stipulation to their Revolution match, declaring it will be a Texas Death Match.
