Roman Reigns Set To Return On WWE RAW Next Week

The road to WrestleMania 42 continues to feature unpredictable twists and turns for the WWE fans. The upcoming episode of Monday Night Raw in Indianapolis promises to deliver significant developments for the main event picture. It has been officially announced that Roman Reigns will resurface on the broadcast to address his ongoing rivalry with the current World Heavyweight Champion.

CM Punk confirmed the news during a fiery promo on this week’s show. When the live crowd booed the fact that Reigns was not in the building, Punk quickly shut them down. He stated that they would not be booing him because he was actually there making every town on every tour, a direct shot at Reigns’ lighter schedule. Punk then turned his attention to his upcoming Elimination Chamber opponent, Finn Balor.

Reigns was last seen on the Raw following the Royal Rumble event, where he confronted Punk in the middle of the ring. The two top stars exchanged heated words before Reigns revealed he had already made his choice for Las Vegas. He looked directly at Punk and told him that he hated him, setting the stage for a deeply personal clash.

The upcoming broadcast will also feature high-stakes championship action. Dominik Mysterio will step into the ring to defend his Intercontinental title against Penta. The masked luchador earned the championship opportunity by defeating El Grande Americano on last week’s episode. Furthermore, Gunther will face Dragon Lee in a grudge match. Lee is seeking revenge on behalf of AJ Styles after Gunther ruined Styles’ farewell tour.

This week’s Raw opened with The Ring General coming out and telling fans in Atlanta they should be celebrating him instead of the retiring Styles. Adam Pearce quickly intervened and had security escort Gunther out of the building. As Gunther started to make his exit, he was unexpectedly jumped by Lee, leading to a wild brawl backstage.

The final two participants for the upcoming Elimination Chamber matches are now officially set following a chaotic night. Jey Uso secured the victory in the final men’s qualifying match, defeating Bronson Reed and Original El Grande Americano. Uso pinned Americano with a frog splash, but the finish was entirely unplanned.

Bronson Reed was originally set to win the bout but suffered a torn biceps while breaking up a pin during the match. The injury left him unable to continue, leading to Uso’s impromptu win. It was later announced that Reed would be out of action indefinitely.

In the women’s division, Raquel Rodriguez scored a crucial victory over Kairi Sane and IYO SKY. The final moments saw SKY hitting a tornado DDT, only for Sane to throw her out of the ring and attempt the In-Sane elbow. Rodriguez countered by getting her knees up and connecting with the Tejana bomb for the win.

It was also established that the winner of the women’s Elimination Chamber match will challenge Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s title at WrestleMania 42, as Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan already chose to face Stephanie Vaquer. The upcoming Elimination Chamber premium live event takes place on February 28 in Chicago.

Meanwhile, WWE management is reportedly thrilled with Roman Reigns’ return to prominence following his 2026 Royal Rumble victory. Creative sources indicate that Reigns plans to extend this chapter of his career rather than winding it down. Management aims to ensure he remains a year-round influence on the product long after WrestleMania 42 has ended.
