Killer Kross, formerly known as Karrion Kross during his time on television, is currently navigating the independent wrestling landscape. He is currently signed with Major League Wrestling, where he serves as the prestigious MLW World Heavyweight Champion. The menacing heel has dominated the competition since arriving in the promotion.
His presentation, alongside Scarlett, remains one of the most visually striking acts in the entire industry. After being released from the Stamford promotion initially in 2021, Kross returned the following year in August. He made an immediate impact by attacking Drew McIntyre, who had been fiercely feuding with Roman Reigns and The Bloodline.
The surprise assault immediately inserted Kross into the main event picture on Friday Night SmackDown. Following the brutal attack, Kross’ wife, Scarlett, placed a symbolic hourglass in the ring. The Bloodline members watched everything unfold from a distance, setting the stage for a massive collision.
Unfortunately, the promising 2022 storyline faded into oblivion as creative directions shifted. Kross and Scarlett ultimately left WWE in August 2025 as well, moving on to new opportunities. During a recent interview with Monopoly Events, the 40-year-old star was asked about his past runs.
He was questioned if he had any unfinished storylines with his former employer that he would like to revisit. Kross immediately mentioned the abandoned plot involving the leader of The Bloodline, Roman Reigns. He expressed a genuine desire to eventually cross paths with the top star once again.
“Under the right cicumstances I still would do that match but he’s got some big things coming up that I hear,” Kross stated. He was quick to emphasize his current dedication to his new promotional home. “And right now I am MLW World Heavyweight Champion. And I say this respectfully to the company, my heart is here,” he explained.
“This is where I am right now and I am solely focussed on this,” he continued. However, Kross left the door open for future possibilities down the road. “But the beautiful part about being a free agent? Anything can happen. If everyone can get on the same page,” he ended.
The wrestling industry is known for its unpredictable nature, meaning a return is never entirely out of the question for a talent of his caliber. While Kross defends his title in MLW, Roman Reigns is preparing for a highly personal battle of his own. Reigns won the 2026 Royal Rumble and is scheduled to challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42. The two-night stadium event will take place on April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
