Liv Morgan recently opened up about experiencing what she describes as a profound spiritual awakening. The popular babyface has enjoyed immense success inside the squared circle recently, including winning the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble match. However, her focus during a recent interview shifted to her personal growth outside of the ring.
During a recent appearance on the “RAW Talk” podcast, the WWE Superstar was asked whether she considers herself to be religious. Morgan shared that over the past five months, she’s been on a deeply personal spiritual journey. She believes this path may have finally led her to God.
“I’ve been on a journey over the last five months or so. I think I might have found God,” Morgan admitted to the audience. She acknowledged how her revelation might sound to others. “It sounds cliché, but I felt a calling.”
She detailed the subtle signs that pushed her in this new direction. “Certain things happened that seemed like coincidences, but they made me feel like maybe I was meant to start a relationship with God—or at least explore it,” she stated.
The Judgment Day member explained that organized religion was never a major part of her upbringing. Although she attended church a few times growing up, the teachings never truly resonated with her. Throughout her adult life, she neither fully embraced nor outright rejected the concept of faith.
“I didn’t grow up very religious. I went to church a couple of times, but it didn’t stick with me. I went through most of my adult life not really believing in God, but not denying Him either,” she explained. She noted an interesting contradiction in her pre-match routine.
“It’s funny because before every match, I would do the sign of the cross without fail, even while questioning whether God was real. That kind of sums up how I’ve always felt,” Morgan reflected.
Morgan said subtle experiences in recent months encouraged her to actively lean into her spirituality. Since taking that initial step, she’s felt a profound emotional shift in her daily life. “A couple of months ago, little things kept happening that made me feel like I should lean in and try to connect,” she said.
“So I’ve been on my own journey. I believe now, and it honestly makes me emotional. I feel this unconditional love, and it brings tears to my eyes,” she confessed.
While she isn’t currently reading the Bible, Morgan revealed that she started a daily devotional at the beginning of the year. She reads it consistently to help ground her mentally and emotionally before chaotic television tapings. “I don’t know exactly where I fall on the religious scale, but I know I’m on a journey that I appreciate and that makes me happy,” she stated.
Morgan also noted that her perception of organized religion growing up may have influenced her earlier hesitation. It was often framed around the fear of God and strict obligation. Now, as an adult, she feels empowered to define her faith on her own unique terms.
“It feels like more trust and relief. I’m not as scared or nervous because I feel like He has my back. I still deal with anxiety and pressure, but I can center myself, breathe through it, and remind myself that God’s got me — and I’m okay,” she ended.
Morgan will need all the mental strength she can muster as she prepares for the biggest match of her career. She recently announced that she will challenge Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 42. The two-night stadium spectacle takes place on April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
