AEW Collision Hits Low Viewership Mark

The Saturday night television landscape proved to be incredibly difficult for professional wrestling this week. Saturday night’s episode of AEW Collision averaged 365,000 viewers on TNT. This figure represents a 22.3% decrease from the previous week’s broadcast.

It officially stands as the lowest audience reported for the show since January 24. This drop comes after Nielsen made their latest adjustments to the way they determined ratings using the Big Data and Panel measurement system. The brand is currently struggling to maintain its core audience during a very busy sports season.

Collision averaged a 0.06 rating in the 18-49 demo, which is down 25% from the prior week. This is also the lowest number the show has recorded in that specific category since the January 24 episode. The program faced an uphill battle due to significant sports and entertainment competition.

The show had to contend with a major NBA game on ESPN and college basketball coverage on CBS. Furthermore, the broadcast aired directly against the WWE Elimination Chamber premium live event on the ESPN+ platform. These massive attractions likely drew away a significant portion of the usual wrestling viewership.

When comparing the data to the previous year, the results are actually much more encouraging for Tony Khan. As compared to the same week in 2025, the overall viewership was actually up by 30.4%. The 18-49 demographic rating remained identical to the 2025 performance.

The recent short-term averages also suggest the brand is still performing within its normal range. This week’s show was up 1.8% in overall viewership compared to the recent ten-week average. The 18-49 rating saw a 20% increase when measured against those same recent averages.

The creative team is hoping to rebound with a major high-stakes match on the next episode of Collision. Rush and Dralistico are scheduled to return to the ring for a four-way tag team match with $200,000 on the line. They will face Private Party, The Outrunners, and The Swirl in Tucson, Arizona.

The promotion is also building toward the AEW Revolution pay-per-view on March 15 in Los Angeles. The card features a massive World Championship match between MJF and Hangman Adam Page. Management is pulling out all the stops to ensure that the television ratings stabilize before the major event at the Crypto.com Arena.
