Brian Pillman Set For WWE 2K26 Roster

The professional wrestling legend Brian Pillman is officially set to be a part of the WWE 2K26 video game. In less than a week, the newest edition of the franchise will be available for players to experience. This year’s release boasts one of the largest rosters of all time with 400 unique characters.

The upcoming title will include Pillman as a fully playable character for the audience to enjoy. His son and current WWE NXT superstar Lexis King shared an exciting update regarding the addition. He spoke about the personal significance of seeing his father featured in the modern gaming landscape.

“Ladies and gentlemen, it has been a dream of mine to reclaim my birthright and take what belongs to me in the WWE,” King stated. He believes his own arrival in the promotion has paved the way for this special recognition of his father’s career.

He noted that the dream is quickly becoming a reality following the latest news from the developers. King had heard through the grapevine that a specific downloadable content pack would feature the legend. He wanted to share the news directly with his followers on social media.

“I just heard that the WWE 2K26 Ringside Pass number three is going to include the legendary Brian Pillman,” King shared with the fans. This allows the digital audience to recreate some of the most famous moments from the past several decades of wrestling history.

He expressed excitement about the potential for players to form a father-son tag team within the game’s various modes. He believes this is a fitting tribute to their family legacy and his own current trajectory within the developmental brand. King has been focused on establishing himself as a top star in NXT.

“That’s right. You’re gonna get to play as me, you’re gonna get to play as my father, and you’re gonna get to play with us as a tag team,” he added. He even joked about the fans making them the champions in their own virtual universes.

Known widely for his time in WCW and the original ECW, Pillman also enjoyed a short stint in the Stamford-based organization. He famously feuded with Stone Cold Steve Austin and formed an alliance with The Hart Foundation. After a very successful and influential career, he passed away in 1997.

The WWE 2K26 video game features CM Punk on the cover and includes a dedicated Showcase Mode focused on his career. The game is scheduled for a worldwide release on March 13, 2026. This launch happens just weeks before the massive WrestleMania 42 event in Las Vegas, Nevada. The annual video game serves as a major pillar of the spring marketing campaign for the sports entertainment giant as interest in the product reaches an annual peak.
