Raquel Rodriguez’s Ambitious WrestleMania 42 Goal

The powerhouse of the red brand is officially looking to the future with a very specific and dominant vision. Raquel Rodriguez recently addressed the current state of The Judgment Day during a candid media appearance. While she carefully sidestepped several questions about the faction’s internal drama, she laid out an ambitious plan for a full championship sweep at WrestleMania 42.

In a recent interview on WWE Now’s Raw Recap, hosts Sam Roberts and Megan Morant immediately pressed Rodriguez on the current clubhouse situation. The tension follows Dominik Mysterio losing the Intercontinental Championship to Penta on the most recent episode of Monday Night Raw. Rodriguez delivered a deadpan non-answer that served as a clear character statement for the group.

“The Clubhouse wishes to not speak on the subject at this moment in time,” Rodriguez stated firmly. “Thank you very much for your consideration on that. I would like to just focus on maybe what’s gonna happen next week and how La Familia is gonna bring it back next week — that’s what we can talk about.”

Rather than dwelling on the recent title loss or the visible tension between Mysterio and his stablemates, she re-framed the narrative. She is focused on her own massive opportunity to bring gold back to the faction. Rodriguez is officially set to compete in a high-stakes six-woman number one contender’s match on the March 9 episode of Raw.

She will battle a field of elite talent including Bayley, Lyra Valkyria, IYO SKY, Asuka, and Ivy Nile. The winner of this gauntlet will earn a championship match against AJ Lee for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Rodriguez believes that her own individual success will serve as the necessary catalyst to reunite the fractured group.

“Next week when I win this multi-women match — and I get my chance to have that IC title — that is gonna bring the family back together,” Rodriguez explained. “That is what is gonna put us back on the map. And Judgment Day is gonna continue to run all of WWE like we have been doing this entire time.”

She painted an expansive picture where every member of “La Familia” walks into the stadium event with gold around their waists. She expects the faction to be more successful than ever before as they approach the spring season. Rodriguez remains confident that the group’s bond is stronger than any individual setback.

“La Guerita is gonna be champion, Big Sexy is gonna be champion, El Sucio’s gonna be champion,” she shared with the hosts. “We’re all gonna be champions. And then we’re all gonna laugh because it’s gonna be amazing.”

The superstar also took a moment to aim a sharp jab at CM Punk while discussing her potential match with his wife, AJ Lee. She referenced the physical history between Mysterio and the current World Heavyweight Champion. Rodriguez is clearly not intimidated by the prospect of facing the legendary champion for her title.

“I’d be happy to ragdoll her and send her home with CM Punk as soon as Dominik Mysterio’s done with him again,” she concluded with a smirk. She ended the interview by noting that they would have a massive private celebration after the event that no one else would be invited to attend.

WrestleMania 42 is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. The two-night spectacle is expected to feature a record-breaking number of women’s matches, with Rodriguez looking to secure her spot on the card.
