Kevin Knight Re-Signs With AEW

One of the most promising young athletes on the roster is officially staying with All Elite Wrestling. Reports from Fightful Select indicate that Kevin Knight has recently re-signed with the company. This move ensures that the high-flyer remains a cornerstone of the division for the foreseeable future.

Knight originally signed a one-year contract at the start of 2025 to test the waters of the promotion. However, his performance has been so impressive that the new contract is now a significant multi-year deal. It was noted by internal sources that Knight is currently held in very high regard within the organization.

The 29-year-old star first got his major break in professional wrestling as a Young Lion. He joined the NJPW dojo in Los Angeles in 2020, where he honed his skills under the company’s strict training system. During his successful tenure there, he teamed with the legendary KUSHIDA.

The duo managed to capture the IWGP Junior Tag Team titles on two separate occasions during their partnership. Their chemistry in the ring was undeniable and helped establish Knight as a premiere tag team specialist. His transition to the United States television landscape was a highly anticipated move for many viewers.

In January of 2025, Knight chose to leave NJPW and officially joined the AEW locker room. He quickly formed the “JetSpeed” tag team alongside Speedball Mike Bailey. Together, they have wrestled some of the top teams in the entire company, showcasing incredible speed and innovation.

The tandem, along with Hangman Adam Page, reached a major milestone back in January when they won the AEW World Trios titles. They defeated The Opps in a physical encounter to secure the gold. However, their reign recently came to a sudden and controversial end on this week’s episode of Dynamite.

Don Callis demanded an impromptu title match, which led to Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, and Mark Davis emerging as the new champions. Knight was unfortunately the one pinned during the title change. Despite the loss, his long-term future with the company is now secure with his new contract extension.

The JetSpeed star will have a chance for redemption very soon at the upcoming Revolution event. He is scheduled to team with Mike Bailey and Mistico to challenge the Don Callis Family for the Trios titles once again. The pay-per-view will take place on March 15, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, providing the perfect stage for Knight to showcase why management was so eager to sign him to a multi-year deal.
