The “Megastar” of the industry is officially addressing the speculation surrounding his recent professional transitions. For years, the WWE fans have questioned the booking of LA Knight, noting that his immense popularity didn’t always align with his creative direction. After a lengthy stint on the blue brand, Knight was recently moved to Monday Night Raw, a decision that reportedly came at his own request.
According to the latest episode of the “Self Made Pro” podcast, Knight has been very vocal behind the scenes when he believes his creative trajectory has stalled. The report suggests that his move away from Friday nights was driven by a desire for a fresh start. He reportedly reached a breaking point with his repetitive rivalries on the Friday Night program.
“LA Knight has been very vocal when he believes that something he’s doing stinks. He’s very vocal with the creative team,” the podcast revealed. “Part of why he was moved out of SmackDown was because he didn’t want to be there anymore. He basically said, ‘I’ve had enough.’ He even told them that if he had to work with Solo Sikoa again, he didn’t know what he was going to do.”
This internal friction comes as the creative team struggles to finalize the card for WrestleMania 42. Reports from WrestleVotes suggest that Knight’s involvement in the Las Vegas event is currently dependent on the health of other top stars. Management is reportedly waiting for medical word on Bron Breakker before finalizing several marquee matches.
If Breakker is unable to compete, the roster may see a massive shift. “You’re looking at Seth Rollins. Is it Brock Lesnar avenging Paul Heyman’s attack? We’re waiting on Brock Lesnar because of Bron Breakker,” the report noted. “The odd man out unfortunately, will be LA Knight if Bron Breakker can’t go.”
Despite the rumors, Knight himself admitted during an appearance on “The Coach’s Corner” that he is currently in the dark regarding his specific WrestleMania role. He acknowledged that the nature of the industry often leads to last-minute decisions, even for the biggest show of the year. He remains focused on the overall environment of the “big bash” in the Nevada desert.
“Don’t worry about the details because I don’t have any. I know about as much as you know,” Knight stated candidly. “All I know is it’s going to be a gigantic week like it always is. I’m just looking forward to the whole environment and everything that comes with that week and weekend. And I always love going to Vegas… it always has a special place in my heart.”
WrestleMania 42 will take place on Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Allegiant Stadium. Whether Knight faces a member of The Vision or finds himself in another high-profile encounter, his connection with the audience remains undeniable. The local fans in Las Vegas are eager to hear the “YEAH!” echo throughout the stadium as the road to the desert reaches its conclusion.
