WWE Confirms Three New NXT Signings

The future of the developmental brand is officially getting an international infusion of elite athleticism. WWE has reportedly made three new signings stemming from the company’s high-profile tryouts held during SummerSlam week in 2025. According to reports from PWInsider, these new talents will soon begin their journey at the Performance Center in Orlando.

The first new recruit is Ahmed Essam, an Egyptian amateur wrestler who has already updated his social media to reflect his new professional home. Essam is a highly decorated combat athlete, claiming to be a two-time African champion and a two-time Arab wrestling champion. He was recently spotted in Florida alongside fellow developmental talent Shady Elnahas, signaling his official arrival in the United States.

Joining him is Delia Schweizer, a German CrossFit athlete who brings a background of intense physical conditioning to the roster. Schweizer has been a competitive force in the CrossFit world for several years, ranking among the top athletes globally in 2023. She recently announced on Instagram that she has officially moved to the United States to pursue her new career in sports entertainment.

The third signing is perhaps the most unique: Ellen B. Akesson, known to her followers as “Ellen Viking.” She is a world champion in arm wrestling hailing from Sweden and a national champion in powerlifting. In addition to her physical accolades, she is a popular Twitch streamer with over 112,000 followers. She recently confirmed to her audience that she has relocated to Florida to begin her training.

These signings represent a continued effort by the organization to recruit world-class athletes from diverse sporting backgrounds. The WWE ID program and the traditional developmental system have been very active in 2026, already securing names like Matt Cardona, Danhausen, and Royce Keys. Management is focused on building a deep roster of versatile performers for the NXT brand.

While these new recruits begin their fundamental training, the rest of the roster is focused on the road to WrestleMania 42. The stadium event in Las Vegas is scheduled for April 18 and 19, 2026, and will likely feature several appearances from the rising stars of the Performance Center. The WWE fans are eager to see which of these elite athletes will be the first to make a major impact on Tuesday night television in the spring.
