The Bella Twins are back in WWE — and this time, it’s the final chapter. Nikki and Brie Bella revealed on the latest episode of the Nikki & Brie Show that when Brie returned at the 2026 Royal Rumble, both sisters signed new two-year contracts with WWE. They expect this to be their last wrestling deal before retirement.
Nikki was candid about the reality facing women in the industry when it comes to receiving a meaningful send-off. “For me, I don’t think you and I will ever get that last retirement moment that like John Cena got and AJ Styles got. Let’s be honest, the men get that, right? I don’t think you and I will ever get that, but I would love to have that. Because I do know that the contract we signed is a two-year deal starting Royal Rumble. And for you and I, the talks we’ve had and what I know just where I’m at — that’s it. That will be the end for me and for us.”
Nikki made clear she isn’t looking for a victory lap — she wants her best work yet. “I want to have some of my best matches. I want to have a lot of fun. But I want to have an iconic moment where I could look back and go, ‘Damn, that was a great two years. We did it. I don’t want to walk away with any what ifs.'” Winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships is described as one of the last remaining items on their bucket list, and doing it as mothers adds extra weight to the goal. “To do it as moms — nothing is better,” Nikki said.
The Bellas challenge Nia Jax and Lash Legend for the Women’s Tag Team titles this Friday on SmackDown at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. After the show, just four weeks remain until WrestleMania 42.
