Ronda Rousey’s AEW Revolution Debut Reportedly Driven by Personal Vendetta Against TKO

Ronda Rousey officially shocked the world at AEW Revolution 2026, but her arrival in Tony Khan’s promotion may have been fueled by more than just a love for professional wrestling. Despite her previous public comments suggesting she would never return to the industry, Ronda Rousey made a surprise appearance to confront Toni Storm following Storm’s victory over Marina Shafir.

New reports from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggest that Rousey’s decision to join AEW was partially motivated by a “vendetta” against TKO Group Holdings. Sources close to the situation claim that Rousey was frustrated with TKO management—specifically regarding prolonged negotiations for a potential MMA fight against Gina Carano. The report alleges that after over a year of talks, management “essentially changed the compensation” at the final hour, leading Rousey to sign with their primary professional wrestling competitor.
