The digital squared circle is officially receiving its second major optimization of the week. Just days after the worldwide launch of WWE 2K26, 2K has released the patch 1.05 update across all major platforms. This follows the 1.04 patch, which addressed initial stability concerns and made adjustments to the polarizing new Ringside Pass system.
The official notes from the 2K support website highlight a primary focus on gameplay flow and technical performance. One of the most significant changes involves the logic for official positioning during matches. Many early adopters had reported concerns over referees constantly obstructing the camera or standing in awkward positions that interfered with the physical action. This patch officially addresses those concerns to provide a cleaner viewing experience.
The update also includes general stability and performance improvements across the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Steam versions of the game. These “hotfixes” are designed to reduce crashes during long play sessions and improve load times for custom content. While the patch is live for console and PC users now, it is scheduled to arrive on the Nintendo Switch 2 at a later date this spring.
In addition to the downloadable content, a server-side patch has also been implemented. This update specifically targets the MyFACTION mode, giving players the option to utilize the wheel mini-game in single-player (PvE) submission matches. This was a highly requested feature from the community, as it provides a more consistent experience across the various game modes.
Despite these technical fixes, the game continues to face a wave of negative reviews on Steam and Metacritic, primarily due to the Ringside Pass monetization model. Fans have been vocal about the cost associated with unlocking the full roster of 24 DLC wrestlers. However, the developers remain committed to post-launch support, with the “Island & Inferno” pack scheduled to drop in mid-April alongside the festivities of WrestleMania 42.
