Mercedes Mone’s difficult stretch of results continued on March 21 at RevPro High Stakes, where she put both the Bodyslam Women’s Championship and the Discovery Wrestling Scottish Women’s Championship on the line — and walked away with neither. Challenger Alexxis Falcon, who earned the opportunity by winning a gauntlet match earlier in the month, delivered when it mattered most, connecting with her finisher and driving Moné face-first onto a championship belt to secure the decisive pinfall and claim both titles.
The match was competitive throughout, but the finish left no ambiguity. Falcon walked out as a double champion while Moné suffered another high-profile defeat on the international scene.
The RevPro loss is the latest in a string of championship setbacks for Moné in a very short span of time. She has recently also dropped the EWA Women’s Championship and the CMLL Women’s World Championship, leaving her with three titles remaining across her various championships. The pattern raises real questions about the direction of her current run outside of AEW.
One thing that hasn’t changed is the crowd’s appreciation for her. Following the RevPro match, fans gave Moné a standing ovation — a reminder that even in defeat, she continues to draw strong reactions and deliver in major spots on the international independent scene. But results matter, and the accumulation of losses is becoming impossible to ignore.
