Lil Yachty’s involvement in WWE may be going well beyond his corner appearance at WrestleMania 42 — Trick Williams has revealed that the rapper is already training to wrestle. Speaking to Rory and Mal, Williams described a genuine interest from Yachty in learning the business from the ground up.
“He said he wants to feel the cables. He said he’s gonna get in tip top shape. We got him a trainer. We finna get Yachty right,” Williams said. He also spoke to the rapper’s instinctive understanding of what WWE is about. “He understands the business — talking about the similarities between hip-hop and WWE, how to promote, how to market yourself, how to make people feel something. I’m excited to see what Yachty can do in the business.” Williams challenges Sami Zayn for the United States Championship at WrestleMania 42 on April 18 and 19 in Las Vegas, with Yachty expected to be in his corner.
