Jade Cargill is not dwelling in defeat — she is already focused on getting her championship back. Speaking with 8 News Now in Las Vegas after losing the WWE Women’s Championship to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 42 Night Two, Cargill was candid about her performance while leaving no ambiguity about her intentions going forward.
“You know what? It’s okay, because I’m going to get my revenge and get that rematch,” Cargill said. She also offered a balanced self-assessment of the night itself. “I’ve never been featured on Night Two, I’ve always been on Night One, so this is my first time on Night Two. I think we did a stellar job. I think my entrance was amazing. I think the energy at Allegiant Stadium was electric. The crowd was coming for me, they hated me — I love that for me. Keep hating me. Okay, I didn’t deliver, but I’m going to get that rematch.”
The match featured interference from Cargill’s allies Michin and B-Fab, only for IYO SKY to run out and even the odds for Ripley — a moment that proved decisive in the outcome. Cargill also used a move during the match that drew significant social media attention — a One Winged Angel, known in WWE commentary as the Sandstorm — with Kenny Omega himself acknowledging the moment online after it generated widespread buzz. WrestleMania 42 was Cargill’s third WrestleMania appearance while Ripley competed at the event for the seventh consecutive time.
