John Cena Calls His WrestleMania 42 Moment With Danhausen “One of My Favorite WrestleMania Moments Ever”

John Cena has given Danhausen one of the most unexpected and heartfelt endorsements in recent wrestling history, calling their shared WrestleMania 42 moment one of his favorite in the event’s history. The former 17-time world champion posted on social media after Night Two — “One of my favorite WrestleMania moments ever. So happy we got an updated photograph together” — in response to the chaotic segment that saw Danhausen and his army of Mini-hausens confront The Miz and Kit Wilson before Cena gave his blessing for Danhausen to hit a Five Knuckle Shuffle.

Danhausen was equally moved by the moment, taking to social media with a message that captured the surreal reality of where his career has taken him. “55,000 humans cheered for Danhausen and chanted You. Are. Cursed! as Danhausen stood in a WWE ring with his great new best friend John Cena at WrestleMania. Never Give Uphausen. Thank you, John.”

The Very Nice, Very Evil One also used the occasion to send an encouraging message to wrestlers who have not yet reached their goals. “Dear wrestlers everywhere who may not be where they want to be, might not have reached the goals they’ve wanted to achieve yet, or think there’s no chance they’ll ever make it to the top — Keep working. Anything can change at any time. Love That Danhausen.”

Danhausen Made His WWE In-Ring Debut and His WrestleMania Debut in the Same Month Before Sharing the Ring With Cena

The WrestleMania 42 segment capped a remarkable month for Danhausen — who made his WWE in-ring debut earlier in April, picking up a victory, before standing in a WrestleMania ring in front of 55,000 fans alongside one of the most recognized performers in the sport’s history. The journey from indie wrestling curiosity to WrestleMania moment with John Cena is precisely the kind of story Danhausen’s post was written to honor.
