Mark Henry Says Blake Monroe Has “No Weakness” Ahead of Her WWE SmackDown Debut

Mark Henry has delivered one of the most comprehensive pre-debut endorsements for a WWE performer in recent memory, declaring Blake Monroe to have no weaknesses in her wrestling game ahead of her imminent SmackDown arrival. Speaking on Busted Open following confirmation of Monroe’s call-up, the Hall of Famer made the case for The Glamour with the kind of specificity that only comes from someone who has seen her work firsthand.

“What’s even better about Blake Monroe, and I know this sounds so crazy, but she’s one of the boys. Everybody’s gonna love her. She is an old school, throwback wrestler. She’s funny and crass. She said something in AEW in the training room one time, I turned and was like, ‘What did you say?’ She’s just got it. When you like people, you work harder for them and she works hard. You watch her matches and she’ll do anything and everything to succeed. And her wrestling skillset is that she can adapt to everybody’s stuff. She doesn’t have a weakness, and there’s very few wrestlers that can flip and fly, that can grapple, chain wrestle, that can swing them and punch and kick, that can do everything. She can do everything,” Henry said.

Blake Monroe Arrives on SmackDown Alongside Ricky Saints as Fatal Influence Also Debuts on the Blue Brand

Monroe’s SmackDown call-up was confirmed on the April 24 episode alongside former NXT Champion Ricky Saints, with both former AEW stars joining the blue brand. The same episode also saw Fatal Influence — Jacy Jayne, Lainey Reid, and Fallon Henley — make their SmackDown debuts in emphatic fashion, immediately attacking Paige, Brie Bella, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and Rhea Ripley in a statement arrival that signaled the faction’s intentions heading into the post-WrestleMania season.
