Stephanie Vaquer is facing an extended absence from WWE programming with no confirmed return date known within the company. WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reports that the former Women’s World Champion is on the shelf for the foreseeable future, with internal rumblings of a minimum six-week absence — though that figure is described as speculative. There is optimism that Vaquer could be back for SummerSlam, but that is not guaranteed.
Bryan Alvarez confirmed the injury as legitimate following the Raw angle in which Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez attacked Vaquer backstage on behalf of Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan. Perez rammed an equipment box directly into Vaquer’s shoulder during the segment, with Michael Cole announcing on commentary that she had suffered a second-degree AC sprain and would be out for a bit.
The origin of the injury has not been confirmed, with the possibility existing that it predated the Raw angle and that the attack was designed to write her off television in a way that could be addressed upon her return. A second-degree AC sprain typically requires several weeks to a few months of recovery depending on severity and rehabilitation demands.
The timing adds another difficult layer to what has already been a rough stretch for Vaquer. She lost the Women’s World Championship to Liv Morgan at WrestleMania 42 Night One in a match that Bodyslam reported was kept shorter than planned because both women were already dealing with physical issues heading into the show. Vaquer had spoken openly ahead of WrestleMania about not being at 100 percent due to accumulated wear including ankle and knee issues, making the shoulder sprain a continuation of an already taxing physical stretch for La Primera.
