Matches Set For WWE Raw

Two matches have been added to the May 5 episode of WWE Raw by general manager Adam Pearce. Je’Von Evans will team with Penta to face Rusev and Ethan Page in tag team action, continuing the ongoing feud between the two sides following their interactions in the post-WrestleMania 42 period. Finn Balor will also face JD McDonagh in a rematch of their recent encounter.

Pearce additionally announced plans to bring Asuka and IYO SKY together ahead of their Backlash match, stating his intention to get the two to “sit down and lay it all on the line” before they collide at the May 9 premium live event in Tampa. The meeting between Asuka and IYO SKY was set on the April 28 Raw following IYO’s interruption of Becky Lynch’s promo that escalated into a women’s Intercontinental Championship match — with Asuka getting involved in the proceedings to set up the Backlash bout.
