Chelsea Green is recovering well from her heart procedure and is already making clear she has no intention of slowing down. Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Green provided a positive update on her condition — revealing she is nearly off bed rest and has one more week of taking it easy before presumably being cleared to return to work.
“I’m going back to bed rest. I’ve got one more day of bed rest and then it’s taking it easy for another week. I’m feeling good. My wounds are healing and my heart feels heavy and my breathing is interesting, but we’re on the mend,” Green said. She also joked that she is already pitching ideas and would be happy to call into SmackDown this Friday if needed. “Oh, you know, I will. You know, I already pitched for this week. I can call in,” Green said.
Chelsea Green Underwent a Heart Procedure After Doctors Discovered She Had SVT for the Past Ten Years
Green revealed earlier this week that she underwent a procedure to address SVT — supraventricular tachycardia, a condition causing an abnormally fast heartbeat originating in the heart’s upper chambers — after doctors finally identified it around WrestleMania 42 weekend. Her heart rate had reached 228 beats per minute during a nearly 15-minute episode. Green had already been sidelined with an ankle injury prior to the heart issue being discovered, making this a significant double setback in a short period. She and husband Matt Cardona are both members of the WWE SmackDown roster. A return timeline for in-ring competition has not been confirmed.
