Tony Khan floated the idea of an AEW Fight for the Fallen event dedicated to ALS research at the post-Double or Nothing media scrum Sunday, in response to a question about Rebel (Tanea Brooks), who announced a terminal ALS diagnosis on May 1.
“I sent my best wishes to Rebel and am considering doing a Fight for the Fallen event to benefit ALS research,” Khan said, urging fans to support ALS research.
Rebel has been away from AEW television since August 2022. During her diagnosis announcement, she thanked AEW and Khan specifically, calling their support during her two-year medical journey “a blessing that is unheard of.”
Khan also said he believes this year’s Double or Nothing was the best in AEW history, and noted that CMLL president Salvador Lutteroth was in attendance for the show.
Fight for the Fallen has been an annual AEW event that has previously been used to support charitable causes.
