Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will not be attending UFC Freedom 250 at the White House on June 14, despite being among the celebrities personally invited by UFC boss Dana White, according to Vanity Fair.
“A source close to The Rock tells Vanity Fair that he will not be attending,” Vanity Fair reported. Adam Sandler, Jared Leto and Mario Lopez have also confirmed through representatives that they will not attend. Johnson sits on the board of directors for TKO Group, the parent company of UFC and WWE.
No reason for Johnson’s absence has been given. UFC Freedom 250 takes place on the White House South Lawn on June 14 and is expected to draw approximately 4,300 attendees, including at least 1,200 active duty military members. The main card features Ilia Topuria defending the UFC lightweight championship against Justin Gaethje and Alex Pereira challenging for the UFC heavyweight title against Ciryl Gane.
Several WWE stars are attending the fan fest at The Ellipse that weekend, including Charlotte Flair, Bron Breakker, Trick Williams, Chelsea Green, The Usos and Tiffany Stratton.
