Logan Paul has shared a telling anecdote about his first meeting with Vince McMahon — a 15-minute pitch that McMahon appeared not to understand but which somehow resulted in Paul getting hired anyway. Paul shared the story during an appearance on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story podcast.
“I went to the office to pitch your dad my ideas — what I could bring to WWE and how I thought I could add value. I pitched him what I considered innovative, viral ideas. I talked for like 15 minutes in this meeting, and Vince didn’t say a word. He was just nodding, and I’m like, ‘Dude, am I resonating? Does he even know what I’m saying?'” Paul said. After leaving the meeting, his WWE representative offered a blunt assessment. “She was like, ‘I don’t think he understood a word you said.’ I was like, ‘I know — damn.’ But apparently it downloaded some way.”
Logan Paul Says He Was the Last Person Vince McMahon Ever Signed to WWE and Found That Distinction Cool
Paul also shared the broader lessons he took away from his interactions with McMahon, framing him as someone who understood the power of going direct to audiences even if he did not always grasp the specific mechanics. “Vince trusted me. I was the last person Vince ever signed, which I thought was really cool. What I learned from that — it’s all about the show. It’s all about the product. He built something that he would have died for. It was all about entertaining people. I have so much respect for that.” Paul is currently the WWE World Tag Team Champion alongside Austin Theory heading into WrestleMania 42.
