Winnipeg wrestling fans are in for a massive week of action in late March. AEW star Mercedes Mone is set to defend her Winnipeg Pro Wrestling (WPW) Women’s Championship the night before AEW takes over the city for Dynamite. Mone will put her gold on the line at WPW’s “Fight at the Museum” event, scheduled for Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at The Manitoba Museum.
The timing is perfect for “The CEO,” as AEW will present Dynamite the very next night, Wednesday, April 1, at the nearby Canada Life Centre. While Mone’s participation is confirmed, her opponent remains a mystery. The challenger will be determined at WPW’s Voyageurs Cup events on March 13 and 14.
This marks Mone’s first defense of the WPW Women’s title since she captured it by defeating Jody Threat at WPW Rumble in the Burt on October 19. The local promotion is riding a wave of momentum, having recently co-hosted the unique “Brawl at the Hall” event with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. That show drew a sold-out crowd of 2,300 to the Centennial Concert Hall and garnered national news coverage in Canada, setting the stage for another high-profile appearance by one of wrestling’s biggest stars.
