The road to Elimination Chamber continues this Friday, but fans will need to adjust their dials. Due to USA Network’s coverage of the Winter Olympics, the February 20th episode of WWE SmackDown will air on Syfy in the United States. Despite the network change, the blue brand is bringing a loaded card to Fort Lauderdale, featuring high-stakes qualifiers and a highly anticipated non-title showdown.
The marquee match of the evening stems from a backstage confrontation last week. Women’s United States Champion Giulia and her partner Kiana James crossed paths with the Women’s Tag Team Champions, Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY. After Sky hinted at targeting Giulia’s singles gold, WWE officially booked a non-title clash between the two Japanese standouts. This “dream match” scenario gives fans a chance to see Sky test her skills against the hard-hitting Giulia in what promises to be a physical encounter.
The card also features two crucial Elimination Chamber qualifiers. In the men’s division, Carmelo Hayes, Damian Priest, and Trick Williams will clash in a triple threat match, with the winner advancing to the chamber in Chicago. The women’s division will see a similarly stacked triple threat, as Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax, and Kiana James battle for a spot in the steel structure.
